The purpose of this foundation is to bring a sense of empowerment to the people of New Orleans and abroad. There are two major components to this foundation: Cultural Enrichment and Social Assistance.
The cultural enrichment component seeks to bring an awareness or appreciation of the arts to the community as a whole with a concentration to the minority in the Greater New Orleans area. This opportunity includes paid stipends for African America college students who are majoring in vocal or instrumental music; the arts, visual, dance, or theatre. Travel opportunities are also available for some participants. Participants will perform with a major vocal chorale to produce major works and maintain the art of choral singing. It is the desire of the board to initiate an arts institute that will provide our community (young and old) the chance to nurture the gifts and talents that are uniquely New Orleans .
The social assistance components will aide in bringing our community to self sufficiency. Professionals will assist in referrals for job placement, counseling, life coaching, and economic development.
Please contact us anytime! We look forward to hearing from you.
